Final Devlog



Here we go, the final dev blog update before the SGX release of Curse of Janksbury. My name is Jack and I am one of the artist on board the team. My main focus through the creation of this game was to model, UV, and texture a lot of the main hero assets of the game. We've been really crunching down to get the world finalized and put together for our SGX build. 

I spent a good amount of time creating detailed assets with strong topology and UVs to make texturing in substance painter a breeze.

For some assets I would create 2 separate versions to emphasize the difference when you see it in the jankified world, I didn’t want everything to look like a copy paste from the original world.

I also tried to add some extra character to my assets so I made Taco Boi to be the mascot of the food trucks or to just be hanging out wherever in the jank world, maybe even on a water tower...

These more so landmark assets in the game help to bind the two worlds together and help the players perspective of the world warp as they play.
